After a loss or a divorce, the casseroles stop before the silence does. Friend Loom is opening gentle weekly calls for people rebuilding a life, the same small group, a kind host, and one hour a week where you don't have to explain the empty chair.
One email when widowed & divorced looms open, nothing else, ever.
You're on the list. We'll email you the moment widowed & divorced looms open, and you'll get first pick of a seat.

“Our friends were our friends.”
Couples scatter after a loss or a split. A loom is yours alone, no shared history, no sides to take.
“Everyone checked in for a month.”
Grief and divorce outlast other people's attention. A standing weekly call doesn't trail off, it's there in month six too.
“Evenings are the hardest part.”
The hour dinner used to fill. Many of these looms will meet then, so the hardest hour becomes the one you look forward to.
When this room opens
Seated with people who get it. Widowed with widowed, divorced with divorced, nobody has to start from “so what happened?”
Not group therapy. A host keeps it warm and steady, laughter allowed, tears fine, advice only when asked. Just company, weekly.
Private, always. Your loom hour is never recorded, no profiles, nothing leaves the room. How every loom works →
If you're 65 or over, you don't have to wait, senior looms are live now, and many members joined after a loss.
The community
Friend Loom is a private online community for people who want real connection. You share your stories, you follow the members whose lives interest you, and you join as many events as you like from your computer, phone or tablet. Members lead most of them, so the calendar changes every month. Nobody phones you, and nobody minds if you sit a week out.
Every member has a page inside the club: where they are from, what they know about, the stories they have told. Follow anyone and you will see when they post or host something. Private to the community, invisible to the open internet.
Post the long version: where you grew up, the job nobody knows about, the year everything changed. Members read it, ask about it, and remember it next time you speak.
Smaller rooms built around one thing: books, cards, walking, genealogy, veterans, caregivers. Join as many as you want, or start the one you wish existed.
Put your own event on the community calendar: a hymn sing, a trivia night, a walk and talk, a lesson in the thing you are best at. We help you run it and fill the room.
Photos, recipes, the finished puzzle, a thinking of you. Conversation carries on between events, with no feed to scroll and no likes to chase.
Birthdays get sung to and someone notices when you miss the events week after week.
A regular rhythm every week, plus whatever members put on the calendar this month. Come to one, come to six.
