For new parents · Opening soon

Never alone. Somehow lonelier than ever.

New-parent loneliness is the strangest kind, a tiny human on you around the clock, and no adult who gets what your day was actually like. Friend Loom is opening weekly calls for new parents: same small group, naptime-friendly times, camera optional, baby noises welcome.

One email when new parent looms open, nothing else, ever.

You're on the list. We'll email you the moment new parent looms open, and you'll get first pick of a seat.

Parent on a video call, sleeping baby on shoulder

“The group chat went quiet when the baby came.”

Your child-free friends didn't leave, they just can't follow you here. A loom of new parents can, in real time.

“Adult conversation is a distant memory.”

One hour a week where sentences finish and nobody needs burping. Talk about the baby, or blessedly, anything else.

“It's 9pm and I need to debrief.”

Between calls, your loom's private room is where the 3am feed photos and small victories land, and get answered.

When this room opens

Built around nap schedules, not against them.

Matched by baby stage. Newborn fog with newborn fog, toddler chaos with toddler chaos, advice that's actually current.

Interruption-proof. Camera off mid-feed, step away, come back, the room rolls with it. Attendance counts, polish doesn't.

Private, always. Your loom hour is never recorded, no profiles, no mom-fluencer feeds. How every loom works →

The community

Not a call you attend. A community you belong to.

Friend Loom is a private online community for people who want real connection. You share your stories, you follow the members whose lives interest you, and you join as many events as you like from your computer, phone or tablet. Members lead most of them, so the calendar changes every month. Nobody phones you, and nobody minds if you sit a week out.

Your people

Follow the members you click with

Every member has a page inside the club: where they are from, what they know about, the stories they have told. Follow anyone and you will see when they post or host something. Private to the community, invisible to the open internet.

Sharing

Tell your story properly

Post the long version: where you grew up, the job nobody knows about, the year everything changed. Members read it, ask about it, and remember it next time you speak.

Standing groups

Circles for the things you love

Smaller rooms built around one thing: books, cards, walking, genealogy, veterans, caregivers. Join as many as you want, or start the one you wish existed.

Member led

Anyone can host an event

Put your own event on the community calendar: a hymn sing, a trivia night, a walk and talk, a lesson in the thing you are best at. We help you run it and fill the room.

Everyday

A quiet room, always on

Photos, recipes, the finished puzzle, a thinking of you. Conversation carries on between events, with no feed to scroll and no likes to chase.

Somebody notices

You are missed when you are gone

Birthdays get sung to and someone notices when you miss the events week after week.

Events all month long, most of them member led.

Join from your computer, phone or tablet, or dial in by phone.

A regular rhythm every week, plus whatever members put on the calendar this month. Come to one, come to six.
