Now seating seniors 65+ · other rooms opening soon

Lonely is common.
It isn't permanent.

Friend Loom seats you with the same 4–8 friendly faces on a video call, at the same hour, every single week. No feed, no ads in the community, nothing to figure out, just a room that notices when you're not in it.

How it works

Friendship isn't a feed. It's the same people, on purpose, every week.

1

Pick your room

Tell us roughly where you are in life and what you'd rather talk about. We seat you with four to eight people in the same chapter.

2

Show up once a week

Same hour, same faces, over Zoom. Join from your computer, phone or tablet, or dial in by phone. A host opens with one good question, then gets out of the way.

3

Keep the ones you like

Your loom is the start. The club also hosts weekly story hours, joke swaps, lessons and drop-in coffee mornings, plus a quiet room for photos and check-ins.

The community

Not a call you attend. A community you belong to.

Friend Loom is a private online community for people who want real connection. You share your stories, you follow the members whose lives interest you, and you join as many events as you like from your computer, phone or tablet. Members lead most of them, so the calendar changes every month. Nobody phones you, and nobody minds if you sit a week out.

Your people

Follow the members you click with

Every member has a page inside the club: where they are from, what they know about, the stories they have told. Follow anyone and you will see when they post or host something. Private to the community, invisible to the open internet.

Sharing

Tell your story properly

Post the long version: where you grew up, the job nobody knows about, the year everything changed. Members read it, ask about it, and remember it next time you speak.

Standing groups

Circles for the things you love

Smaller rooms built around one thing: books, cards, walking, genealogy, veterans, caregivers. Join as many as you want, or start the one you wish existed.

Member led

Anyone can host an event

Put your own event on the community calendar: a hymn sing, a trivia night, a walk and talk, a lesson in the thing you are best at. We help you run it and fill the room.

Everyday

A quiet room, always on

Photos, recipes, the finished puzzle, a thinking of you. Conversation carries on between events, with no feed to scroll and no likes to chase.

Somebody notices

You are missed when you are gone

Birthdays get sung to and someone notices when you miss the events week after week.

Events all month long, most of them member led.

Join from your computer, phone or tablet, or dial in by phone.

A regular rhythm every week, plus whatever members put on the calendar this month. Come to one, come to six.

Your loom hour · weekly

The same 4 to 8 people at the same hour, hosted, so it never turns into an awkward silence.

Life story hour · weekly

One member takes the floor and tells their story. Everyone else listens and asks good questions.

One thing I learned · weekly

A member teaches the community something useful: sourdough, birding by ear, reading a Medicare letter.

Joke jar · weekly, 20 minutes

Everybody brings one joke. Groaners are not only allowed, they tend to win.

Open rooms · most mornings

Coffee hours with no agenda. Stay five minutes or fifty, camera off if you like.

Member events · all month

Trivia, hymn sings, garden tours, film clubs, birthday parties. Whatever the community decides to run.

What people say after about six weeks.

“I hadn't laughed out loud in my own kitchen since Ron passed. Now it happens every Tuesday, and I'm ready with a story.”

● Marguerite, 74 · The Tuesday Two O'Clock

“My daughter signed me up. I told her it wasn't for me. That was eight months ago. I haven't missed a Thursday yet.”

● Walt, 81 · The Thursday Regulars

“I retired at 43 and the calendar went silent. This is the only hour of my week that somebody else is expecting me.”

● Ana, 45 · Thursday Early Exit

Private by design

The whole point is that it doesn't leave the room.

No public profiles, no follower counts, nothing indexed by Google.

Your loom hour is never recorded. Community-wide events may be, and are always labelled beforehand.

No advertising inside the community, and your information never goes to advertisers.

Every room has a trained host. Leave a loom any time, no explanation needed.

One membership. The whole community.

Everything is included: your loom, the events, the circles, the members' room. No tiers, no upsells, no ads. See pricing details →
