Making friends in a new city as an adult is a numbers game nobody has time to play. Friend Loom skips the small-talk lottery: we seat you with 4–8 other people who also just landed somewhere new, every week, until “those people from my call” becomes “my people.”
One email when new-in-town looms open, nothing else, ever.
You're on the list. We'll email you the moment new-in-town looms open, and you'll get first pick of a seat.

“My most reliable relationship is with my barista.”
Friendly faces everywhere, friends nowhere. A loom gives you one hour a week where people remember what you said last time.
“Making friends at 34 feels like dating.”
The apps, the “we should hang out!”, the fizzle. Repetition is what actually builds friendship, so we built the repetition in.
“Everyone here already has their people.”
Locals have full benches. Your loom is all newcomers, everyone's roster has an opening, including yours.
When this room opens
Matched by chapter. New-for-a-job, new-for-love, new-for-a-fresh-start, we seat you with people mid-move too.
Same faces weekly. Friendship is a repeat customer business. One standing hour beats twenty coffee maybes.

The community
Friend Loom is a private online community for people who want real connection. You share your stories, you follow the members whose lives interest you, and you join as many events as you like from your computer, phone or tablet. Members lead most of them, so the calendar changes every month. Nobody phones you, and nobody minds if you sit a week out.
Every member has a page inside the club: where they are from, what they know about, the stories they have told. Follow anyone and you will see when they post or host something. Private to the community, invisible to the open internet.
Post the long version: where you grew up, the job nobody knows about, the year everything changed. Members read it, ask about it, and remember it next time you speak.
Smaller rooms built around one thing: books, cards, walking, genealogy, veterans, caregivers. Join as many as you want, or start the one you wish existed.
Put your own event on the community calendar: a hymn sing, a trivia night, a walk and talk, a lesson in the thing you are best at. We help you run it and fill the room.
Photos, recipes, the finished puzzle, a thinking of you. Conversation carries on between events, with no feed to scroll and no likes to chase.
Birthdays get sung to and someone notices when you miss the events week after week.
A regular rhythm every week, plus whatever members put on the calendar this month. Come to one, come to six.
